The price list
Solar panel prices, fitted.
Four standard sizes cover most homes. Find yours by the house, not the panel count. Bigger roofs and higher usage are priced after a survey.
| Your home | Inverter | Fitted |
|---|---|---|
| Small home7 panels · 3.36kWp | £6,300 | |
| Typical 3-bed10 panels · 4.8kWp | £6,950 | |
| Larger home, or an EV14 panels · 6.72kWp | £8,100 | |
| High usage, EV and heat pump18 panels · 8.64kWp | £9,250 |
Every price includes
- Aiko all-black 480W panels
- Renusol mounting
- A Fox ESS hybrid inverter sized to the array, ready for a battery later
- Scaffolding and bird mesh
- The G98 or G99 grid paperwork
- Your MCS certificate, so you can be paid for what you export
- Testing to BS 7671 and a handover pack with every certificate and warranty
- Your deposit and our workmanship protected through QANW
What the survey checks before the price is fixed: how the roof is built, access for scaffolding, the state of your consumer unit and where the inverter can go. Once your written quote is issued, the price doesn't move.
★★★★★
"Dan came to do an initial assessment and was able to answer our questions and concerns. He kept us informed regarding starting date. We were clear about the costs from the start. They've done amazing job, very neat and tidy. Dan also helped set up the app so we didn't have to deal with the support ourselves."

Solar panel calculator
Work out your size, saving and payback.
Five quick answers. It sizes the system from your usage, keeps it to what a typical roof of your type takes, then prices it from the list above. Your survey checks the real roof.

A guide, not an MCS performance estimate. Your written quote comes with one for your actual roof.

What a battery adds.
Cheapest fitted the same days as your panels. If you've already got solar, we can add a battery to what's there.

Our prices are based on Fox ESS, the best value per kWh we fit. EcoFlow is our electricians' favourite to fit, with a 15-year warranty; it and Sigenergy cost a little more, and we're happy to price them side by side.
Payback, honestly
How we work out the saving.
We don't assume energy prices will rise, and we don't add up 25 years of savings. Here's every number the calculator uses.
Your usage
We work back from your bill using the Ofgem price cap for October to December 2026: 26.32p a unit and a 54.83p daily standing charge. An EV adds about 2,000 kWh a year and a heat pump about 3,000.
Your roof
Around here, each kWp of panels makes roughly 950 kWh a year facing south, 900 facing south-east or south-west, and 780 on an east-west roof.
System size
We match a system to your yearly usage, then round to the nearest standard size, from 7 to 18 panels.
What you use yourself
Homes typically use 30% to 50% of their solar directly, depending on how often someone's in. A battery sized to your evenings usually lifts that to 60% to 80%.
Saving
Solar you use saves 26.32p a unit. Solar you export earns a guide 12p through the Smart Export Guarantee. With a battery, on days without enough sun it charges overnight at about 7p and runs your evening.
Payback
The fitted price divided by the first year's saving. Energy prices, your roof and how you use power all move the real figure, which is why the survey comes with a proper MCS estimate.
Fair questions
Solar cost questions.
How much do solar panels cost for a 3-bed house?
A typical 3-bed suits about 10 panels, a 4.8kWp system. We fit that for £6,950, with scaffolding, the grid application and your MCS certificate included.
How much does a solar battery cost?
Fitted with new panels, £1,400 for 5.2kWh or £2,450 for 10.4kWh. On its own, or added to solar you already have, from £4,250 for about 10kWh.
Is the price fixed?
Yes, once the survey is done. The written quote is fixed and it's the same next month. The list prices here are guides until we've seen the roof.
What's the payback?
Usually somewhere between 6 and 12 years depending on your roof, your usage and whether you add a battery. Panels are warrantied for 25 years. Run the calculator above for your numbers.
Are there grants for solar panels?
Not for most homes. There's no national grant that pays for solar on a typical house. Panels and batteries are zero-rated for VAT, which our prices already include, and the Smart Export Guarantee pays you for what you send to the grid.
Do you fit solar panels across Somerset?
Yes: Wells, Glastonbury, Frome, Bridgwater, Yeovil, Taunton and Bath. These are the prices we quote across all of them.
Can I spread the cost?
Not yet. Finance will only ever come through an FCA-authorised partner, and we'll say so here the day it's live.
